          It is worthwhile to list all the episodes and writers together,

          'Fort Creed,'  the John Meston script used for the audition, 
was used again for the regular season's second episode, 'Boatwright's Story.'
          Capt. Lee Quince was played by John Dehner in the audition, 
and by Raymond Burr during the series proper.
